When Disaster Strikes: Flood Buckets

Every year, people across the United States are affected by devastating storms and other disasters that result in flooding. The United Methodist Committee on Relief’s (UMCOR) mission is to help people affected by natural and human caused disasters.

UMCOR helps people in the United States begin the overwhelming task of putting their lives back together after a flood by providing cleaning up supplies. During Lent, CSA is encouraging our friends and neighbors to help our neighbors affected by floods.

CSA is collecting supplies and donations to fill 40 flood buckets during Lent until Saturday, April 11

The buckets will be delivered to our local UMCOR Relief Supply Warehouse. You can drop off supplies at CSA or donate toward the purchase of supplies for the effort.

See the list below for guidance on what each kit contains. The estimated value of each kit is $75 and every donation counts. If you would like to make a financial donation, please give online or make your check payable to Concord-St. Andrew's UMC and write FLOOD BUCKETS in the memo. Our address is 5910 Goldsboro Road, Bethesda, MD 20817.

100% of your donation will go toward providing kits to flood victims.

If you have questions about the project, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
