Dear Friends and Family of CSA,
Last year, I was approached by an organization called “Chosen People Ministries.” They were contacting pastors in the area and offering an opportunity to experience the Passover from a Jewish-Christian perspective on communion. I watched their full demonstration and was so impressed, I immediately booked them to come to CSA.
Chosen People Ministries is a Christian organization that exists to pray for, evangelize, disciple, and serve Jewish people everywhere and to help fellow believers do the same. It serves sixteen countries across the world...they proclaim “the Good News through Jesus the Messiah to Jewish people around the world.” If you would like to learn more about its ministries, go to this link: http://www.chosenpeople.com/main/index.php.
On Sunday, at 7 p.m., March 6, 2016, we will have the privilege and opportunity to welcome The Rev. David Sedaca from Chosen People Ministries. David will lead us through a celebration of a kosher style Passover meal.
Please join me in this family dinner to worship God and to celebrate the miraculous events of the Jewish Passover and the instigation of the Lord’s Supper.
Since we will be serving an entire meal, please RSVP to Marie LeDuc, email@example.com or to CSA Church at: 301-299-3383, by no later than March 4, 2016. You are encouraged to invite friends and neighbors to this event. The meal is designed to be welcoming to our Jewish neighbors.
I look forward to seeing you then,
A WORD ABOUT PASSOVER
“...Passover is both a holiday of remembrance and a holiday of prophecy. Passover for the Jewish people is the annual celebration of God delivering Israel out of Egypt (Exodus 12). The entire service...is designed to help the Jewish people remember the great workings of God, when through signs and wonders, He freed the Jewish people from the bondage of the Egyptians and delivered them to the promised land of Israel....”
“Passover...also clearly pictures the redemption Jesus provided for our sin. The last meal that Jesus ate with his disciples...was a Passover meal....Having a Passover dinner...is a beautiful opportunity to celebrate the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus in its historical, New Testament setting.”
