CSAChurch Mission Project: Bed in a Bag for Rockville Homeless Shelter

February 9th, 2015
from Dorothy Day Place Men and Women Transitional Shelter
Subject: Gratitude and Acknowledgement of Receipt of 34 bed-in-a-bags

Dear Rev. Sue Brown,

I am writing this letter to thank you and Concord-St. Andrew’s UMC members for providing a total of 34 bed-in-a-bag sets for our shelter located at 5320 Marinelli Rd., Rockville MD 20852. We currently have a total of 34 residents and we will be providing one bed-in-a-bag set for each client so that they can keep themselves warm in their bed from the winter cold weather. I couldn’t thank you more for all the support and comfort you provided to our women and men.

Catholic Charities Dorothy Day Shelter Program has enjoyed the relationship with the Concord-St. Andrew’s UMC and looks forward to working together to help clients move forward in their life by achieving their short and long term goals. As always, we also appreciate your kindness for providing hot and nutritious meals to our residents.

Many thanks,
Zelalem Zemichael,
LGSW Senior Program Manager

Adopt an Angel 2015

Now in its third consecutive decade, CSA just wrapped up our annual Adopt an Angel Project. Led by our Missions and Outreach Committee, the Angel project makes the Christmas season brighter for local families who might not otherwise have much to celebrate.

Through generous donations of food baskets, new clothes, toys, and other goodies, CSA is blessed to be able to share the Christmas spirit with our neighbors.
You, your families, and your friends are invited to participate in CSA outreach activities. Please contact George Iden to learn how you can get involved.
