I Want to Change..So Help Me, God!

October 7, 14, 21, 28 1pm and 7pm [Led by Rev. Sue]

Many times what needs to change is something we have not been able to change. This series talks about the things that hold us back from being the person we are meant to be.

Faith and Life

October 13, 20, 27 & November 3 7pm [Led by Barbara deBoinville]

Come and learn about remarkable men and women in the past whose Christian writings continue to offer fresh inspiration for our lives. We will be studying: “God’s Grandeur,” by Gerard Manley Hopkins; the hymn “Amazing Grace,” by John New- ton; “On the Right Use of Trials”, by Francois Fenelon; and passages from the biography “Fanny Crosby,” by Bernard Russel.

Is it Okay to Doubt?

December 2, 9, 16
1pm and 7pm
[Led by Rev. Sue]

What do you do when you start to doubt? Do you ever wonder if God really cares about you? Do you worry that you are not ‘faithful’ if you have doubts. This study will help you discover what the Bible has to say about doubts, and how to make a plan to overcome them.

Extraordinary Women, Part 1

January 6, 13, 20, 27 & February 3, 10 1pm [Led by Rev. Sue]

They were ordinary, common, and in some cases shockingly low-caste, yet each was made extraordinary by her life-changing encounter with God. Their struggles and temptations are the same trials faced by all believers. Come and learn how the God who shaped them, continues to mold and use ordinary people today.

Ordinary Men, Part 1

January 6, 13, 20, 27 & February 3, 10 7pm [Led by Rev. Sue]

Contrary to popular belief, we do not have to be perfect to do God’s work. Look no further than the twelve disciples whose many weaknesses are forever preserved throughout the pages of the New Testa- ment. Jesus chose ordinary men: fisher- men, tax collectors, political zealots, and turned their weakness into strength producing greatness from uselessness

Stressed Out?

February 24, & March 2, 9, 16 1pm and 7pm [Led by Rev. Sue]

Everyone experiences some kind of stress. For some, stress can even be motivational, but too much stress is harmful. The word stress does not occur in the Bible, but dis- tress, distressed, distresses, and distress- ing occurs 111 in the NIV. This study will help us to find a Biblical way through our stressful lives.

No Wonder They Crucified Him

April 6, 13, 20, 27 & May 4, 11 1pm and 7pm [Led by Rev. Sue]

Of all the people admired in the world to- day, Jesus of Nazareth continually ranks at the top of the list. Even those who don’t call themselves Christians regard Jesus as one of the wisest teachers an most loving leaders the world has ever known. So why did his contemporaries kill him? This course examines Jesus as a dangerous man, dangerous because He was and is the God who is dangerously good. Take a fresh look at Jesus’ call to action.
